Where can we find you on a rainy Sunday afternoon?

Beatrice Behlen, senior curator for Fashion and Decorative Arts at the Museum of London You will probably find me in my flat watching make-up tutorials on YouTube (my new passion – check out lollipop26). If I do manage to venture outside I might have a coffee and a danish (the nearest you can get to a ‘Stückchen’) at nearby Patisserie Valerie or browse the DVDs in Close-Up on Brick Lane.
Do you ever get homesick -- what is your most German retreat in London or the UK?

Beatrice Behlen Having lived in London for 20 years I don’t get homesick very often. I guess a branch of Lidl or Aldi would make me feel at home. No, but seriously, my most ‘German’ retreat is my German friend’s home and if that doesn’t take me back I buy some rye bread from St John Bread and Wine in Spitalfields, spread it lightly with (unsalted) butter and wash it down with an über-dry Riesling.
