I watch “Verbotene Liebe” on German TV (very embarrassing!!) and buy sourdough bred at a farmer’s market.

Which German band or singer has the best chance to make it big in Britain?

Sophie Hunger (she sang this beautiful song Walzer für Niemand in German, BUT she is Swiss!)

Stefan Zweig, Die Welt von Gestern .

What advice would you give a German tourist?

London: Go to Whitechapel Gallery. In summer, drive out and visit Oxford and the University Colleges. Stay in the countryside, in the beautiful Cotswolds, and, have a pic nic during the interval at Longborough Festival Opera.
