German in the UK

Did you know that Germany boasts one of the biggest music scenes in the world, with a vibrant range of bands, live venues and festivals?

This dynamism was recently celebrated in Edinburgh, when the German Consulate General teamed up with the organisers of one of Edinburgh's main social nights, Born to be Wide, to put on a special German-themed evening.

The night began with a seminar in which German musicians, journalists, venue and festival directors provided an interesting insight into the German music scene. A German music quiz was then followed by the main event of the evening, a live performance by the Berlin duo, Jeans Team.
