German in the UK

What is the most fun way to learn German? Is it maybe through your stomach?

Year 7 pupils at Langley Park School in Bromley would agree. As part of the Active Kids Get Cooking initiative, they have taken part in a 10-week Food Technology programme run through the medium of German.

Here the pupils cook real German specialities, using authentic recipes. They also taste a range of German foods, and learn how to describe them and give opinions on them. Additionally, they research aspects of German cuisine and present their findings to their class. Finally, the pupils even have the chance to adapt and design their own recipes.
