German in the UK

We operate within the wholesale automotive sector (non-engineering) and offer placements in the Sales & Marketing areas of our business and a specialism in finance.

We offer opportunities for post graduates with roles varying widely with the graduate scheme offering opportunities to work within our wholesale, retail and financial services businesses. This gives the graduate a holistic view of our business on which to base their choice of career path in conjunction with business requirements. The UK graduate scheme has close links with the Daimler CAReer global graduate scheme and offer opportunities to travel to Germany to partake in training and networking opportunities.

We also offer industrial placements for students wishing to study during their placement year. Again these can be based in various different business disciplines and offer a 'real world' experience which will be enriching for the individual and beneficial to the business. Industrial placement students have often been able to find permanent employment by returning to the Company on completion of their degree.

It is beneficial for employees to have German language skills within our organisation due to our regular dealings with our colleagues at Daimler headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. There are also many interfaces with other German based production and support functions which rely on clear communication making German language skills a natural advantage.
